JR PAT Testing services in SussexHaving your electrical appliances tested is vital to ensure they continue to function correctly whilst also reducing the risks of accidents and potentially costly repairs. We are totally flexible with our hours, so we’ve got all your PAT Testing needs in Sussex covered. Our customers in Sussex include NHS hospitals and trusts, schools, colleges, care homes, housing associations, property landlords, factories, contact centres, hotels, restaurants, cafés, factories, hair salons, retail shops, the construction industry, medical and dental practices and offices. Test Procedure Typically, an engineer will arrive at your premises at a pre-arranged date and time and have all the necessary equipment to carry out a successful PAT Test. All our testing machines are calibrated and have the relevant certificates of validation. Our engineers and qualified PAT testers will work with you systematically throughout your work environment, performing a proper visual inspection of all leads and appliances. They will then test each portable appliance and all leads to establish if they are electrically safe to use. We follow your specific guidelines and if computers, servers, POS hardware need to be running continuously, we will conduct a thorough visual inspection in order to avoid any unnecessary power outages of vital equipment. If your appliances pass, our PAT testers will place a sticker to confirm the pass date. If failed, we will advise you on what needs to be fixed (if possible) or that the appliance needs to be removed. Our PAT tester can carry out minor repairs free of charge. However, larger repairs may need extra attention. Booking a PAT test There is some useful information that would be helpful to know in advance:
- Approximately how many appliances require testing?
- When were they last tested?
- Are there any items of equipment that cannot be unplugged? For example, POS equipment in shops, computer servers or specialist medical equipment?
- What date and time would you prefer our engineer to attend?
About SussexSussex is an ancient county on the south coast of England that used to be known as The Kingdom of Sussex. Geographically, it has three distinct parts – the English Channel coastline, the chalk hills of the South Downs, and the woodlands of Sussex Weald. Sussex has a County Day, which is celebrated on 16 June. Much of the county’s population is along the coast, with Brighton being the biggest resort. Eastbourne, Worthing, Littlehampton, Bognor Regis are other busy seaside resorts. Hastings, in East Sussex, has the largest beach-launched fishing fleet in Europe. It is, of course, also famous for the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and has the remains of the first castle in England to be built by William the Conqueror. Also in the east of the county, Rye and Newhaven have fishing harbours. In West Sussex, the cathedral city of Chichester is another area boasting a rich history. Nearby Arundel also has a cathedral and a medieval castle, while Crawley has been inhabited since the Stone Ages. In fact, the whole county is packed with historical buildings and structures. It’s easy to see why tourism and the service sector play a big role in the county’s economy. Technology, digital media and financial services are growing industries. Education provides a significant proportion of employment, notably at the University of Brighton and the University of Sussex. And Gatwick Airport is a major provider of both jobs and income to the county. Several global companies have bases in Sussex, including American Express, Virgin Atlantic Airways, The Body Shop, and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
